I am way behind on posting! Lance and I found out in February that we will be expecting our next child (and last) around 10/30/10. We find out the sex in June. Pregnancy photos will be coming soon.

| Addy turns 2! Shortly before Addy turned two, we had her language checked because she was not meeting the milestones. It was confirmed that she was 6+ months behind on her speech. Then, during her 2 year old check-up, it was discovered that her height had not improved and that she barely made it on the chart. We were then referred to a pediatric endocrinologist to check her hormones, etc. Everything was fine...except they discovered a chromosome deletion. The term is 18p- to be exact. There are many variations, and some of the characteristics include short stature and developmental delays. Knowing this information answered some of the questions we had, but also left us with even more questions regarding the effects, treatments, etc. Lance and I were both tested and neither of us have a chromosome deletion. This means Addy's condition was just a fluke thing. As of May, Early Childhood Intervention has been working with her some to improve on her language. Addy's expected height is 5 foot. She is not lacking growth hormones, so hormone replacement would not help. |
